Observation notes: Bayou Cocodrie NWR. Habitat: area of sedge host plant in secondgrowth bottomland hardwoods (seasonally flooded). Conditions: cloudy, recent drizzle, calm, temps probably in 80's f., around midday. Three more of this species seen where host plant was present in this area of woods, including a female depositing eggs. This was second colony found this day, the other being approx 1 mile to the southeast.
