Observation notes: This butterfly was flitting about from rock to rock, but finally settled down for a photo. It was about 81 degrees Fahrenheit. This area is near the Columbia River, and also has many deciduous trees, a lot of Stinging Nettle in the forests, and I am not familiar with the plants around which the butterfly was perched.
