Observation notes: Saw, and quickly photographed, this butterfly on the walkway - and it was gone. Right next to me, in a tree, is where it APPEARED to have landed. Another photograph, only the second photo was actually of a Silver-spotted Skipper! Most confusing and difficult to believe but the images are proof.
