Observation notes: Found a few days after the snow would have melted in this mowed field. Vegetation not yet green. First real T-shirt day of this spring locally. Mostly sunny and +20 Celsius to +24 with a northwest wind of 15 km/h changing to a south direction but remaining at 15 km/h. Caterpillar was at the end of a piece of dry vegetation in the vertical. Looked to be just trying to get up above the surrounding vegetation to enjoy the sun's warmth.
