Observation notes: This is one of two specimens of this moth that were collected by Brandon Watts, a student at California State Polytechnic University, Pomona, by sweep-netting over grasses and shrubs in along a route that started in non-native grassland and transitioned to coastal sage scrub. Field notes state that the weather was bright and sunny with temperatures in the high 70s to 80s F. Collected between 12:00 noon and 4:00 p.m.
