Observation notes: Found in a freshwater tidal marsh in Port Penn, DE. There were probably a dozen of them here. Large skipper nectaring mostly on Purple loosestrife. I have seen this species in SC, but this one seems to lack the long swash on the underside of the forewing...unless it isn't a Broad-winged Skipper.

Coordinator notes: The specimen is a female. Your earlier observations sound like males.
