Identification: Head white; thorax and forewing shiny black. Forewing has three white costal spots (largest near base), and another white spot at anal angle. Hindwing pale gray
Wing Span: 1.3-1.6 cm.
Life History: Larva (Redbud Leaffolder) ties leaves together with silk.
Flight: April-September.
Caterpillar Hosts: Redbud.

Range: Maryland and Pennsylvania to Florida, west to Kansas, and Texas.
