Sandhill Skipper
Polites sabuleti

Observation date: May 24, 2014
Submitted by: Samuel Grijalva
Specimen type: Photograph
Observation notes: As the weather warmed (75 to 80)I began to notice a lot of these skippers fluttering around in the grass. I counted at least 10 on an open grass trail that ran through the marsh. They would usually stay low and move ten feet ahead if I got too close. when i came back through the trail 30 minutes later, i didnt see any.
