Aphrodite Fritillary
Speyeria aphrodite

Observation date: August 20, 2012
Submitted by: ellenjones6
Specimen type: Photograph
Observation notes: Please clarify what kind of Fritillary this is and what the key ID features are.
Status: Resident
Verified by: layberry
Verified date: October 14, 2012
Coordinator notes: This one is easy; the black spot in the lowest forewing cell is quite visible in both wings. And it is much too bright-coloured to be an atlantis. So it is an aphrodite. Ross Layberry
