Observation notes: The first picture shows where we found some of the caterpillars on an oak tree about five feet from the ground. The second picture was taken at the base of the same oak tree. It was very hot here last week (92 - 102 degrees) but cooler on Wednesday (7/13/11) and Thursday (7/14/11).
