Observation notes: Nectaring on Monardella at Monitor Pass. Breezy, 12-15 mph, with partly cloudy conditions. Upper 70's. Subtle wing pattern and color differences from the Zerene seen on the west side of the pass a few days earlier. Open grassland and sagebrush ridge with scattered Pinyon.

Coordinator notes: I can't be sure of subspecies but if really in Mono County it is likely malcolmi which is what flies even in the Tioga Pass area and in Mono County-Ken Davenport
