Observation notes: Saw this small Blue feeding on buckwheat near the crest of a low ridge on the inland side of the Santa Cruz mountains above Hidden Villa. Warm, 85 degree afternoon with clear skies. Was flying with Acmon Blues and Ringlets in small grassland patches surrounded by Chaparral.

Coordinator notes: It could be ssp. bayensis but I don't have bayensis and smithi to do comparisons so can't say which subspecies-Ken Davenport
