Observation notes: Sulphur was feeding on Sulphur Buckwheat (Eriogonum umbellatum), in a wildflower patch (Yarrow & Sulphur Buckwheat) just off Highway 140 (west of Lakeview, OR, east of Drews Gap). This was one of many Sulphurs seen, along with Wood-nymphs, Fritillaries, & one Hairstreak. Temperature was 85 degrees. Hot & sunny. Photo by R. Larson.
