Our summer fundraiser has arrived, and we need your help!
We depend on donations to keep Butterflies and Moths of North America online and free. If everyone who uses this resource makes a donation, we could cover our ongoing costs, develop new features, upgrade the system, and maybe even remove those pesky ads. Please make a one-time or recurring donation to show your support for this valuable source of information. Thank you!
Coordinator notes: This is likely Callophrys dumetorum dumetorum, the Bramble Hairstreak, not the Coastal Green Hairstreak, Callophrys viridis based on the amount of brown on the forewings. BAMONA still uses the name perplexa for dumetorum and dumetorum for viridis. A decision by the ICZN restored the two names to their original use about 10 years ago and BAMONA has not applied that decision for reasons unknown to me...Ken Davenport...both species are in Sonoma County,
