Observation notes: Many individuals forming "puddle clubs" to take nutrients from moist soil, rocks, and shallow water at the base of the Soledad Canyon Waterfall. They often intermingled with individuals/small groups of sleepy and tailed orange butterflies at this site (see image #3). The canyon head was shaded, cool, and breezy.
