Observation notes: Yellow and Black swallowtail feeding on Plumbago flowers in Spring Valley, California. Does NOT appear to be tiger swallowtail.

Coordinator notes: This is actually the Southwestern Giant Swallowtail (Papilio rumiko) found to be a different species than cresphontes using genomic analysis of DNA and genes. The real Papilio cresphontes are in east Texas eastward and east of New Mexico. BAMONA has not yet updated its names list.-Ken Davenport
