Observation notes: Windy day in Southeast Harris County, Texas. Plant: Black Eyed Susan (Rudbeckia hirta). The butterfly stayed on this particular plant for at least 10 to 15 minutes, at times holding on as the wind blew. His wings appeared to have been severely damaged with chunks missing from both sides, although this did not seem to slow him down. This image is taken through a screened and closed glass window.
