Observation date: May 01, 2021
Submitted by: wilderneyes
Specimen type: Photograph
Observation notes: It was a mild night following a warm day, which had been preceeded by cool weather for a few weeks. Specimen was observed sitting near an outdoor light. Its wings are variegated brown and white, with thin horizontal stripes of dark brown. There is a dark eye on each wing with a pale ring surrounding it, above which is a pale marking of about the same width. The head, though difficult to make out from the angle where it sat, did not appear to be very prominent from the collar.
