Coordinator notes: I have identified this as the Black Swallowtail because it is the one that usually is found in backyard gardens up and down the eastern Front Range in Colorado. It looks like this one is feeding on Dill. I'm curious to know why you thought instead it is the Anise Swallowtail? Did you observe a female of this swallowtail laying eggs in your garden on these plants? I could be persuaded to correct the sighting ID if you can give me a good reason (note that even the black swallowtail has a yellow form that looks like the anise!). Mike
