Large Orange Sulphur
Phoebis agarithe

Observation date: July 10, 2020
Submitted by: Bob Nieman
Specimen type: Photograph
Observation notes: Along with many other insects feeding on thistle (Cirsium sp, probably C. ochrocentrum) alongside a catch basin that had quite a bit of water in it (rest of the area is very dry). 2 or 3 of the "white-pink" form plus one of the yellow form submitted here.
Status: Temporary Colonist
Verified by: stevecary
Verified date: July 19, 2020
Coordinator notes: I think you're right on this one. I see just a bit of the dorsal colors and apricot always steers me to agarithe, whereas sennae is more lemony yellow.
