Nessus sphinx
Amphion floridensis

Observation date: June 18, 2020
Date notes: All most dark on my midtown rooftop in Toronto near a busy street and low rise buildings of less than 3 floors. I had just dropped the Petunia in the planter and it appeared in seconds. I thought it was a Hummingbird bird at first I was fascinated, it fluttered for 2-3 minutes inside the petunia flower

Specimen type: Photograph
Observation notes: 2 yellow bands at the bottom of its body. I was a bit shocked and its wings were beating so fast that and with the dark the photo is not great. I stayed in one flower for a minute of 2 and then another, these were not short times with 2/3 of its body right in the center of the flower
