Observation notes: Raised from caterpillar, although caterpillar was found and it pupated the day after, on 5/18. It hatched as an adult today, 6/5. In years past, I have found the caterpillar on russian elm (Ulmus laevis), however this year I found it in the grass between that tree and a sugar maple.
