Orange Sulphur
Colias eurytheme

Observation date: May 18, 2020
Submitted by: dbrudin
Specimen type: Photograph
Observation notes: Feeding on dandelion in school gravel ball field. I'm still struggling to tell Clouded and Orange apart.
Status: Temporary Colonist
Verified by: A_baldini
Verified date: June 01, 2020
Coordinator notes: This is an Orange Sulphur. To help you out, the Orange Sulphur always has at least some orange blush on the dorsal and ventral forewing (though it can be very faint on the early spring and late fall forms). Meanwhile, the Clouded Sulphur never has any orange blush whatsoever, just yellow. Anyway, thanks for submitting your sighting!
