Observation notes: This butterfly was found in a subalpine meadow in a canyon between 7000 and 9500 ft above sea level. This butterfly's only markings that I noticed were the faint dark splotches on the tips of the upperside of the forewings and faint, dark, filled in circles in the center of the underside of the forewings.
