Observation notes: Meadowbrook Park, Urbana, IL - I noticed the caterpillar on a tree leaf and had never seen one like it before. It was a relatively mild day, upper 60 degree temperatures and mostly overcast. The area is a heavily wooded area just off a walking path, part of a great prairie restoration area.
