Coordinator notes: This is actually the Field Crescent, Phyciodes pulchella. The Painted Crescent is not found at high elevations, and it has a cream-colored ventral hindwing, nearly white in many individuals (the Field Crescent has a mottled, brownish-yellow colored hindwing by comparison).
