Observation notes: I found this (newly hatched?) butterfly on the ground near my front driver's side tire at 6:15am in the morning, at the same time, I found a female Polyphemus Moth and 43 eggs on my right rear tire (I submitted that sighting separately). I put the butterfly on a nearby branch of a Birch tree. Within a few minutes, the butterfly flew away. (I do have a bright garage light that I leave on each night.)
