Observation notes: This butterfly flits erratically through the low vegetation and rarely gets more than two feet off the ground. It was found in an area that contains large numbers of Astragalus whitneyi and often landed on the plant, as seen in one of the photographs. The habitat was a low herbaceous plants on a rocky ridgeline with large amounts of bare ground. Elevation was 7800 feet.
