Observation notes: This moth was resting on the west side of our log cabin at Whalan, MN, which is in the SE corner of Minnesota. It was actually a brighter, deeper yellow color, but the sunshine affected my picture. It was a bright, sunny day, with the temperature around 80 degrees Fahrenheit. It stayed there for several hours until our grandson touched it, & then it flew away.
