Observation notes: I have never seen one of these before. It was huge! And it was soaring about the peonies, which were completely done blooming. But, sadly it was very tattered and would not let me near. This is the best photo I got of it. The friends whose home this was at, said they get them there every summer. And that they love the Jackmani Clematis. They live only about 500 yards south of the Platte River.
