Dusky-blue Groundstreak
Calycopis isobeon

Observation date: July 10, 2019
Date notes: Bugguide comments:Intermediate / hybrid has characteristics of Red-Banded Hairstreak and Dusky Blue Groundstreak. Based on location and narrow forewing band this should be Dusky Blue but hindwing markings are Red Banded hairstreak.

Specimen type: Photograph
Observation notes: Was at bottom of a spanish oak trunk - very close to the ground.
Status: Resident

Coordinator notes: I agree this could be an intermediate between isobeon and cecrops; however, hindwing markings are split between the 2 species--narrow-moderate red band more like isobeon, spots more like cecrops. The forewing looks more like isobeon. Thus, the preponderance of the traits seems isobeon, so I am calling it that species. SAT
