Observation notes: Spotted on a driftwood tree on Galveston Beach near near 19320 West San Luis Pass, Galveston, TX 77554. It landed on a pair of jeans hanging on one of the roots. It seemed to be trying to get out of the wind & into shade or at least hide from predators. It went underneath one of the larger roots when the jeans were removed. We left it there. It was hot & overcast.
