Observation notes: The moth was on the pavement near a change room at Long Beach near Tofino when I first saw it. It was a warm sunny day, about 20C. It wasn’t moving much and a nearby crow appeared very interested in the moth. I picked it up. Its feet were very sticky and it trembled slightly. After about five minutes I tried to put it on a leaf of a nearby tree and it flew away.
