  Sighting 1202823

Observation date: April 20, 2019
Date notes: Unusually cool for late April, very windy day after battering rain storm. This monarch was hanging onto this milkweed flower, and the wind was pushing it over and over, and it hung on. I did also early find a dead monarch by my back milkweed plant, probably succumb to violent storm the day before.

Observation notes: Unseasonably cool and very windy, one day after a violent rainstorm. This monarch was holding onto the milkweed flower and the wind was pushing it over and over, and it would fly off and come back on. The storm was rough enough I found a monarch had perished, on the ground in my butterfly garden.
