Observation notes: We are assuming this is the butterfly that emerged from the chrysalis as the chrysalis was gone and the butterfly was hanging out on the front porch near where the chrysalis had been. Sunny with high around 65, low was to be near freezing. We took the butterfly inside in my daughter's "butterfly house" with an orange slice and some sugar water since temps were to be around freezing. We will be releasing during the day when temps raise back up.
