Observation notes: Spike on tail, found on a sandy trail of a dog park in Shoreview MN (Twin Cities). Was moving quickly. About the same diameter of my thumb, approx 3-4” long. Never seen anything like it, can’t figure out identity after search online. No specific plants/trees to mention, area had lots of vegetation, mostly grassland type. It was dusk.
