Observation date: September 06, 2018
Submitted by: RMirollo
Specimen type: Photograph
Observation notes: I spied this beautiful moth hanging out at the Rt. 128 Westwood, MA train station. It is near the Blue Hills Reservation. There is a wetland area surrounding the station, with birch trees, maple. Oak and other trees. Today was very hot and humid with temps in the high 90s. The moth was motionless on a glass enclosure. It had a white furry underbody, a black furry head and wings that looked like birch bark.
