Observation notes: Found on a recently primed deck rail. The caterpillar remained stationary while I viewed it. Local environment is near coastal Maine, 450m from a brackish river environment. Cool, mostly cloudy morning. Most of the surrounding plants are larger maple trees of a few different varieties, with the occasional oak and coniferous tree.
