Observation notes: Warm sunny day, found on brick paver on patio shaded by pine tree. Wings closed initially, gradually opened wings. I suspect it was newly hatched. Nearby plants were a fern and azalea bush. Oak tree several feet away. Watched for approx 30 mins. Moth mounted my daughter’s hand, stayed a few minutes and then flew away.
