Observation notes: Several were on the flowers then gone quickly. Clear Skies. On the edge of Ponderosa Pine /Gamble Oak forested area and a meadow.

Coordinator notes: Thanks for the submission! This is the Field Crescent, a very common little nymphalid in Colorado. Large numbers of these butterflies can often be seen in shortgrass prairies and meadows that contain wild daisies (one of their common host plants), like this one is nectaring on.
