Observation notes: Nectaring on Oregon sunshine flowers along a roadside. Specimen was netted, photographed inside a clear envelope, then released unharmed. Warm, sunny afternoon with light wind, temperature in low 80s F. Multiple individuals present, with courtship and mating behavior observed.
