Observation date: April 18, 2018
Submitted by: A_baldini
Specimen type: Photograph
Observation notes: Time: 3:45 p.m. Temperature: 56.5 degrees. Wind speed: 8 mph. Sky: Sunny. Notes: I captured this comma as it flew around slowly but with agility, as it dodged my first few net swipes. Unfortunately, I mortally injured it during capture by severely dislocating its left forewing, so I decided to mount it. This is not the first time I’ve seen a comma within the city; I also captured one last May in about the same location, so there must be some host plants around.
