Mylitta Crescent
Phyciodes mylitta

Observation date: March 09, 2018
Submitted by: Lisahug
Specimen type: Photograph
Observation notes: not really active. a friend saw it on my Tyvec suit as we were bushwacking through some dense riparian habitat. I accidentally knocked it off my suit and it fell to the ground. It was just laying on its side. When we prodded it to get it to fly, it flapped a few times and flopped back on the ground. I suspect I knocked it off some vegetation that it was roosting on. Habitat was mostly willows and blackberry thickets (Himalayan berry). It was foggy and in the high 40s/low 50s.
