Observation notes: Wasn't able to get a very good photo and I had previously passed this off as V. cardui, so I'd skipped it. Upon closer examination, though, I think this is V. virginiensis, which seemed worth a mention.

Coordinator notes: This is definitely worth a mention! The American Lady is extremely rare in the mountains, thus I designated it as a nonresident. Amazing observation, the second for this species in Colorado!
