Observation notes: Saw this specimen on a porch post before dawn, not moving. The trees that have branches over our house are oak, holly, and a magnolia. I brought it inside to get a better picture later. It was cool and humid. Later that day it was cloudy and drizzly. I also saw three more the next day crawling across the road. It was sunny, low humidity, and very cool. I live in a very wooded area.
