Observation notes: I found a couple caterpillars on a Hackberry tree on June 8 and decided to keep them to see what they turned out to be. They made their cocoons around the same time, one on July 13 and the other on July 18 but the second one came back out of its cocoon two days later on July 20 with no hair and died? The other emerged later as a moth which I submitted separately along with pictures of their cocoons.
