Observation notes: Using a very heavily blooming buckwheat for nectar. very Small fewer of these than the other Blues. Seems like a more freshly hatched brood? windy day in canyon Staying very close to this buckwheat. Warm sunny 82 mid day cooled off to low seventies in late afternoon. dry but still very green for this part of the edge of Colorado low desert. Desert mountain transition around 4,000 ft juniper pinion forest north facing cacti agave south facing.

Coordinator notes: Same comments as the other. I can't totally rule out Euphilotes pallescens elvirae but dammersi is what people normally find around Palm Springs.-Ken Davenport
