Date notes: 5 Miles south of New Orleans. Observed it on the spare tire of my jeep. I thought it was ashes or dirt.

Observation notes: Overcast 80 degrees. It remained on my spare tire for at least three hours after I noticed it. It may have hitched a brief 6 minute ride prior. There were oak trees near the departure site as well as near my destination.
