Specimen type: Photograph
Observation notes: 65 degrees; sunny; swarm of dozens of Painted Lady butterflies. Some landed flat on the mulch in our garden, or on the patio; most were on Eupatorium perfoliatum or boneset plants, some on flowering mint. Lots of flitting around.
