Observation notes: Nectaring on aster in a meadow with other flowers including bistort, angelica, paintbrush, arnica, and groundsel. Courtship behavior noted at this location and several individuals present. Calm, sunny afternoon with temperature in upper 70's F. Some smoke from distant wildfires in the air. V side spots are silvered though not obvious in photo.
